A Calm Beyond Midnight

Away from the day
(away from the sun)
sitting in a cabin
surrounded by a forest
I find myself
once again
listening to
meditative waves
of silence
and stillness
seeping into my consciousness

in a calm
far beyond
the reach of midnight

where the full moon’s light
softly falls upon the dark-blue night
radiates into anyone who believes.

I think I'm going to use your place to meditate. Well, that is after I twirl in a dress of a thousand colors when the sun goes down! I love you James. I'm twirling!

Come over. Anytime. We'll find the center of the soul. And revel in its glow.

The harvest moon will be coming soon.

Of course.

Speaking of course, I'm taking a finite math course that's trying to kick my ass. Strange thing though, I won't let it. So it's very angry. "Just get happy mathypoo. You and I are going to be friends, at least for a while."

But it is taking most of my time.

Some say it's the language of the cosmos. But is it really? To many the answer is a definite yes.

I feel your words. Damn I should not read other comments. I lose my spontaneous thought. Anyway that's a damn good poem and I like it :) Reminds me of one of those cd's I put on when I can't sleep.
