Quiet Realization

Smoke fills the room, lingers
and turns to dust. An eccentric
depressive man sits at a desk
and notices the mild sunlight
from the skylight above. He
has been selfish in his thoughts.
He is ashamed. The rain starts
again, lightly blown by the wind.
And he realizes these things.
